Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a DevOps Engineer II to lead CI/CD pipeline development, deployment, and optimization. You will design scalable workflows across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments and automate infrastructure provisioning to support rapid, reliable releases.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in DevOps roles, strong container and cloud experience, and proficiency with GitHub and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field is required.
• Hands-on experience with microservices, containers and cloud-native apps.
• Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes and container ecosystems.
• Experience with multiple cloud vendors and DevOps tooling.
• Strong release engineering, CI/CD, and Agile experience in Scrum/Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for consistent environments.
• Optimize deployment workflows for repeatable releases meeting customer needs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to align deployment strategies with security and architecture goals.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies and documenting best practices.
• Contribute as part of an Agile team to deliver operational capabilities to the field.
