Job summary

Zoom is seeking a DevOps Engineer to maintain, scale, and enhance reliable SaaS platforms operating in distributed, large-scale environments. This role emphasizes operational excellence, automation, observability, and performance to ensure service availability and scalability.

You will lead incident responses, manage end-to-end initiatives, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement lasting improvements that benefit customers.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience supporting and operating SaaS production systems in DevOps or SRE roles.
• Design highly available systems meeting uptime targets up to 99.999%.
• Expertise designing disaster recovery strategies across multiple regions.
• Experience managing distributed production systems serving customers.
• Proven ability handling incidents, on-call operations, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Operate, scale, and improve SaaS production platforms across distributed environments.
• Design uninterrupted solutions to ensure 99.999% availability.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies across regions.
• Develop and maintain automation, tools, and scripts to improve deployment efficiency.
• Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, observability for proactive issue prevention.
• Own system performance, availability, and scalability for customer-facing services.
• Analyze system behavior to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation.
