Job summary

Zoom is seeking a DevOps Engineer to sustain, scale, and enhance our SaaS platforms in distributed, large-scale environments. The role centers on reliability, observability, and automation to ensure service availability and rapid incident remediation.

You will lead critical incident responses, design disaster recovery across regions, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver ongoing improvements benefiting customers.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience supporting and operating SaaS production systems in DevOps or SRE roles.
• Design systems that are highly available and meet uptime targets up to 99.999%.
• Demonstrate expertise designing disaster recovery strategies across multiple regions.
• Demonstrate expertise managing distributed production systems that serve customers.
• Strong incident handling, on‑call operations, and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, scale, and improve SaaS production platforms across distributed environments.
• Design uninterrupted solutions to achieve 99.999% availability.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies across regional data centers.
• Automate deployment and workflows to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
• Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability.
• Own system performance, availability, and scalability for customer-facing services.
• Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
• Lead incident responses, perform root cause analysis, and implement lasting remediation.
