Job summary

QuEra Computing in Boston, MA seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to advance CI/CD for embedded software and hardware integration. The role collaborates with embedded software teams and physicists to ensure robust software delivery and scalable infrastructure.

You will optimize Docker/Kubernetes environments, automate deployments, and work across cloud and on-premises systems to support the operating system for QuEra’s QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or closely related field, plus 7+ years as a software developer/engineer.
• At least 4 years of experience building automated systems using Python, Go or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software and applications.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Develop and manage firmware and software delivery pipelines for reliable releases.
• Optimize containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for embedded applications.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
• Monitor system performance and reliability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Influx, and Redis.
• Collaborate with developers and hardware teams to integrate software updates (Talos, Flux, Helm, K8S Pod Services).
