Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or closely related field, plus 7+ years as a software developer/engineer.
• At least 4 years of experience building automated systems using Python, Go or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software and applications.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Develop and manage firmware and software delivery pipelines for reliable releases.
• Optimize containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for embedded applications.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
• Monitor system performance and reliability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Influx, and Redis.
• Collaborate with developers and hardware teams to integrate software updates (Talos, Flux, Helm, K8S Pod Services).

JOB TITLE: Senior DevOps Engineers

Job Location: 1380 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, MA 02135 Additional worksites: 1284 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, MA 02135; 1280 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, MA 02135; 387 Western Ave, Brighton, MA 02135. These worksites are part of the company's Boston campus.

Responsibilities

Apply expertise in embedded systems to optimize software delivery, automate infrastructure, and enhance system reliability. Work closely with embedded software teams and physicists to develop robust CI-CD pipelines, improve build automation, implement test automation and manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure to deliver the operating system for QuEra’s QC.

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Github and custom-built automation harnesses for application and embedded software development;
• Automate build, test, and deploy processes for applications and embedded systems;
• Develop and manage firmware and software delivery pipelines, ensuring efficient releases;
• Optimize containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for embedded applications;
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools;
• Monitor system performance and reliability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Influx, and Redis;
• Work with developers and hardware teams to integrate software updates including Talos, Flux, Helm, and K8S Pod Services.

Requirements & Qualifications

Employer requires a Bachelor's degree in software engineering, software development or closely related field and at least seven (7) years of experience as a software developer. In addition, the employer requires the following:

• Practical experience implementing complex automated systems in Python, Go, or Bash gained through at least four (4) years of work experience;
