Job summary

QuEra Computing Inc. is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to optimize software delivery for our quantum computing platform.

You will work with embedded teams and physicists to develop robust CI/CD pipelines, automate builds, and manage cloud and on-prem infrastructure to support the operating system for QuEra’s QC. This role emphasizes automation, test automation, and performance monitoring using modern tooling, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Ansible, across hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or closely related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 4+ years building automated systems in Python, Go, or Bash.
• 7+ years with on-prem and cloud OS administration (OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure).
• 4+ years supporting hybrid systems with embedded devices or real-time control.
• 4+ years IaC with Terraform or Ansible.
• 5+ years CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• 7+ years experience with hardware-in-the-loop pipelines or distributed lab/test automation.
• 7+ years core networking, load balancing, and related technologies.
• 7+ years debugging large multi-layered systems across hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Github and custom automation.
• Automate build, test, and deploy processes for apps and embedded systems.
• Develop and manage firmware and software delivery pipelines for releases.
• Optimize containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for embedded apps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Monitor system performance and reliability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Influx, Redis.
• Collaborate with developers and hardware teams to integrate updates (Talos, Flux, Helm, K8S).
