Job summary

QuEra Computing is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for our Boston campus to optimize software delivery for embedded systems. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure reliability across on-prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include modernizing build and release processes, tuning Docker/Kubernetes, and implementing IaC with Terraform and Ansible. Travel minimal; collaboration with hardware teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or closely related field.
• Practical experience implementing complex automated systems in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with on-prem and cloud OS administration (OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with IaC tools Terrafrom or Ansible.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop pipelines or distributed lab/test automation environments.
• Experience with core networking and monitoring/logging systems.

Responsibilities

• Optimize software delivery, automate infra, and improve system reliability.
• Build/maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes for devices.
• Manage firmware/software delivery pipelines and releases.
• Tune Docker/Kubernetes environments for embedded apps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor performance with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Influx, Redis.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to deploy updates.
