Job summary

QuEra Computing Inc. in Boston seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to optimize software delivery and infrastructure across embedded systems and researchers.

You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate builds, and ensure reliability of cloud and on‑prem environments on the company's campus. You will collaborate with embedded software teams and physicists, implementing containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or closely related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines and cloud/on-prem deployments.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software and applications.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Develop and manage firmware and software delivery pipelines.
• Optimize containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) for embedded apps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalents.
• Monitor system performance and reliability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Influx, and Redis.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate software updates with Talos, Flux, Helm, and K8S Pod Services.
