Job summary

Socket.dev in Miami is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our internal platform. You will manage Kubernetes clusters, GitOps delivery pipelines, CI/CD automation, observability, and Terraform/Atlantis-based provisioning. You will migrate from legacy Jenkins/ECS to a modern, scalable platform and work with AI coding tools daily.

The role emphasizes operating at scale, automation vs. simplification, and active contributions to cost, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

Kubernetes experience including EKS, RBAC, and networking.
Proven GitOps experience with ArgoCD or Flux and strong reconciliation skills.
Terraform/Terragrunt at scale; Atlantis PR-based workflows.

Responsibilities

Operate and evolve the multi-cluster EKS platform and ArgoCD GitOps (200+ ApplicationSets).
Write Terraform modules and manage changes via Atlantis PR workflows.
Maintain and extend GitHub Actions reusable workflows and composite actions.
Manage observability stack (Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry).
Handle Cloudflare edge infrastructure across 70+ domains and WAF/DNS/Workers.
Migrate legacy pipelines from Jenkins/ECS/CloudFormation to the modern platform.
Leverage AI coding tools daily to accelerate infrastructure tasks.
Improve deployment safety with progressive delivery (Argo Rollouts, Kargo).
Monitor AWS spend, enforce security policies and IAM trust chains.
Participate in on-call coverage for production outages.
