Job summary

Aerospike in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our engineering infra, spanning cloud platforms, Kubernetes, networking, automation, and security.

You will design IaC pipelines, build scalable CI/CD, improve reliability, and partner with Security and Engineering to optimize cost and developer experience. This hands-on role requires strong scripting and cloud expertise to reduce toil and enable rapid, safe growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure, or related
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud services
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, VPNs, VLANs, routing
• Experience with firewall configurations and cloud security groups
• Experience with modern CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI)
• Experience with cloud security automation and security best practices
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation tools
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams
• Demonstrated leadership and initiative in DevOps infra
• Desire to learn and stay current with cloud, DevOps, infra, and security technologies

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain IaC to automate provisioning, configuration, security policies, and infra management
• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and containerized environments, with automated deployment and scaling
• Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure and networking across environments
• Design and maintain shared networking services (DNS, API gateways, routing) with Security collaboration
• Build tools and platforms to improve developer experience and reduce toil
• Architect multi-cloud deployment strategies for redundancy and cost optimization
• Design secure secrets management for credentials and keys
• Improve cloud infra, CI/CD, security, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Partner with Engineering, Security, and Ops to align DevOps practices with goals
• Document architecture, decisions, and cost optimization strategies
• Take ownership of complex infra challenges and automate improvements
