Socket.dev is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Lead to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable AWS cloud platforms. You will drive infrastructure, networking, and governance across production environments.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on AWS, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD, and cloud security expertise, and can collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps or related roles with AWS cloud focus.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes management.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD tooling for cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of security governance, IAM, and cost optimization.
• Excellent collaboration across engineering and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Define governance, security controls, and operational best practices.
• Create architecture and deployment diagrams; document configurations.
• Manage AWS networking: VPC, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, SGs, NACLs.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, CodePipeline.
• Automate provisioning with Terraform and CloudFormation; deploy containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor and improve observability using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK/OpenSearch.
• Mentor teams and drive cloud modernization and incident response excellence.
