Job summary

GenLogs Corp. seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to scale its cloud platform for the next generation of freight intelligence. You will own multi-account AWS infrastructure, container platforms, IaC with Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, reliable deployments at scale.

You will collaborate across security, SRE, and product teams, implement policy-as-code, observability, and disaster-recovery practices, while mentoring peers and driving automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• 5+ years of Terraform experience with modules, remote state, multi-environment patterns, and policy-as-code.
• 5+ years building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• 5+ years of bash and python scripting for automation.
• 3+ years of experience managing AWS infrastructure in multi-account environments.
• 3+ years of production Kubernetes experience with Helm, GitOps, and cluster security.
• 3+ years of observability experience with metrics, logs, traces; defining SLOs.
• 3+ years in cloud security: least-privilege access, encryption, secrets management.
• 2+ years implementing SOC 2 / ISO 27001 controls and audits.
• 3+ years networking in AWS (DNS, VPCs, subnets, firewalls).
• Hands-on use of AI tools in engineering work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage secure, multi-account AWS infrastructure.
• Operate container platforms on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Own IaC with Terraform; manage remote state, drift, and policy enforcement.
• Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and automated checks.
• Automate operations with Python and Bash; build self-service tooling.
• Build observability with OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, and Datadog.
• Maintain cloud security posture including IAM, encryption, and secret management.
• Embed security into software supply chain with scanning and SBOMs.
• Support SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audits with automation and evidence gathering.
• Mentor engineers via docs, runbooks, and code reviews.
