Job summary

GenLogs is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, scale, and operate cloud infrastructure for its state-of-the-art US freight intelligence platform. You will leverage AWS services and IaC to drive reliable, scalable deployments across edge, cloud, and field environments.

You will implement CI/CD pipelines, optimize cost and performance, and collaborate with distributed teams to keep systems secure and highly available. Remote work is supported, with coordination across time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with high-transaction, distributed systems.
• Proven AWS infrastructure management (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, Route 53).
• Hands-on Terraform for IaC automation.
• Networking fundamentals in AWS (VPCs, DNS, security groups).
• CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or CodePipeline).
• Strong Linux system administration.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; remote collaboration.
• Proficient in Bash and Python scripting.
• SQL queries across relational and non-relational datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS across EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, and Route 53.
• Implement and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform to automate provisioning and scaling.
• Collaborate with development and operations to implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and optimize AWS resources for performance, cost, and security.
• Configure VPCs, subnets, and security groups for cloud networks.
• Manage RDS, ECS, and S3 for database, containers, and storage needs.
• Configure Route 53 for DNS and domain management.
• Set up VPNs and remote IoT device management.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues in real-time and stay current with AWS best practices.
