Job summary

project44 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced engineering team. You will design, build, and implement best-in-class integrations to accelerate how project44 connects to the world’s logistics networks.

Lead the evolution of CI/CD pipelines, own infrastructure-as-code standards, and champion observability to reduce MTTR. The role requires 6+ years in DevOps/SRE with strong cloud, Kubernetes, and automation expertise.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infra roles with leadership experience.
• Deep expertise with one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong infra-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Proven CI/CD leadership across multiple teams (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD).
• Scripting in Python, Go, or Bash for automation.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems.
• Proficient with Docker and Linux (Ubuntu).
• Monitoring/observability across stack (Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• APM and logs tools familiarity (New Relic, AppDynamics, Datadog; Logstash/Elasticsearch).
• Knowledge of relational DBs (PostgreSQL).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Lead CI/CD improvements to accelerate deployment velocity and reliability.
• Own infra-as-code standards and drive GitOps adoption.
• Embed guardrails for security, secrets management, and compliance.
• Mentor mid-level and senior DevOps/SRE engineers; perform design reviews.
• Drive cost optimization without compromising performance/reliability.
• Act as escalation point for major incidents and drive long-term remediation.
• Evaluate new tools and automation to modernize the infrastructure stack.
