Job summary

Mark43 is hiring for a DevOps/Platform Engineer to build, scale, and maintain our public safety infrastructure. You will automate deployments, improve observability, and ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and highly available across cloud environments.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Security, and other teams to drive DevOps best practices, develop internal tooling, and optimize CI/CD workflows for faster, safer software delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related infra role.
• Strong AWS and/or Azure cloud experience.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps and ArgoCD.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure powering our public safety platform.
• Improve reliability, automate deployments, enhance observability, and streamline DevOps workflows.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and other teams to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available infra.
• Leverage AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana to drive operational excellence.
• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for reliability, security, and availability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, tests, and deployments.
• Improve observability with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Build internal tools to boost developer productivity and reduce manual work.
• Partner with teams to establish DevOps best practices and deployment workflows.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and opportunities to improve system reliability.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for production support.
• Own and drive infrastructure projects for long-term health of Mark43 platform.
