Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to scale and maintain the infrastructure behind our public safety platform. You’ll optimize AWS/Azure environments, automate deployments, and advance observability to support fast, reliable software delivery.

You will partner with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to enforce best practices, build IaC with Terraform, manage CI/CD pipelines, and lead GitOps initiatives using ArgoCD, Helm, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code technologies, particularly Terraform.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for containerized apps.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and ArgoCD.
• Automation scripting to improve infrastructure operations and workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, tests, and deployments.
• Drive GitOps practices with Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Improve platform observability with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
• Build internal tools to boost developer productivity and automate manual processes.
• Partner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices and deployment workflows.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.
• Own and drive long-term infrastructure projects for scalability and platform health.
