Job summary

Mark43 is hiring a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure behind our public safety platform. You will focus on reliability, automation, observability, and enabling engineers to ship software efficiently.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Security, and cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana. Remote-friendly with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for applications.
• Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations and tooling.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Improve infrastructure reliability, automate deployments, and enhance observability.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, and deployments.
• Build internal tools and automation to improve developer productivity and reduce manual work.
• Partner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices and strengthen platform reliability.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and potential points of failure.
• Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.
