Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure powering our mission-critical public safety platform. You will optimize cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, improve observability, and enable engineering teams to deliver software efficiently.

You will work with Engineering, Security, and cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, highly available systems and to drive operational excellence across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps/Platform Engineering-related role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning and management.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, and deployments.
• Drive GitOps practices and automation using Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
• Improve platform observability with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Build internal tools and automation to boost developer productivity and reduce manual work.
• Partner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices and improve deployment workflows.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and potential failure points.
• Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.
• Own and drive infrastructure projects contributing to scalability, stability, and health of the platform.
