Job summary

OpenEye seeks a skilled DevOps Engineer II to manage the cloud environment, assist developers with releases, and maintain production systems. The ideal candidate will be a strong programmer or scripter, work well in a team, and thrive in complex production environments.

Responsibilities include maintaining AWS infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating provisioning, and partnering with SRE for monitoring and SLOs. This role offers a hybrid schedule and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of DevOps or related experience.
• Strong AWS knowledge including scaling, networking, security, and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD systems, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting production systems under pressure.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highly available AWS-based infrastructure for global services.
• Provide recommendations for platform scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster, more reliable releases.
• Automate environment provisioning, system updates, and security patches.
• Collaborate with developers to containerize workloads and streamline deployments.
• Partner with SRE on monitoring, define, and meet service-level objectives (SLOs).
• Adhere to security/compliance in infrastructure design and operations.
• Assist with production deployments and root-cause analysis of issues.
• Support cloud cost optimization through efficient resource allocation.
• Other duties as assigned.
