Job summary

Ryan is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design and implement a fully automated CI/CD ecosystem across AWS, Azure, and on‑prem environments. You will help standardize deployment, tooling, and security practices while building a scalable internal developer portal and self‑service workflows.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, security, and operations to improve reliability, performance, and deployment speed, using Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• Demonstrated evolution from software development into cloud infrastructure and automation.
• Six or more years hands‑on with CI/CD tools (Harness, CloudBees, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and modern delivery practices.
• Deep development expertise in Java and/or Node.js application environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure, including networking and serverless.
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure as code concepts.
• Experience designing scalable cloud‑native architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server Availability Groups.
• Strong scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools like Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of secure software delivery and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience leading evaluations and PoCs for new tools and processes.
• Excellent collaboration across engineering, security, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Champion a DevOps culture focused on automation, improvement, collaboration, and transparency.
• Partner with development teams to improve reliability, performance, and deployment practices.
• Architect and implement an Internal Developer Portal (IDP) for self-service infrastructure and deployment workflows.
• Enable golden paths to accelerate onboarding and reduce cognitive load for engineers.
• Integrate IDP with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, identity management, and observability platforms.
• Maintain service catalogs and documentation standards; drive platform enhancements.
• Design, implement, and maintain fully automated CI/CD pipelines for Java, .NET, and Node.js apps.
• Build standardized deployment workflows across AWS and Azure environments.
• Implement automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates within pipelines.
• Design reusable pipeline templates and libraries; optimize build and deployment performance.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS/Azure with Terraform and IaC.
