Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a senior software engineer to help build the AWS DevOps Agent, a frontier agent that transforms how incidents are investigated and remediated in customers' environments.

You'll work with our exceptional team at the intersection of AI and software engineering, building systems that seamlessly fit into a customer's environment and applying agentic approaches to lighten the customers' ops load. Your impact will be immediate and visible.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience.
5+ years programming with at least one language.
5+ years leading design/architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Shape the technical direction and architecture of the DevOps Agent service.
Uncover real-world development challenges with customers and translate them into product capabilities.
Define all aspects of the service, including how it investigates and resolves incidents and integrates with customer systems.
Balance innovation with operational excellence to enable development velocity while meeting scale and security standards.
