Job summary

Amazon is seeking a senior engineer to help build the AWS DevOps Agent, an innovative tool that transforms how incidents are investigated and remediated. You will work across AI and software engineering to deploy at customer scale, directly impacting how AWS customers operate their applications.

You’ll participate in architecture decisions, implement features end-to-end, and mentor peers while aligning with security and scale requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Full lifecycle responsibilities from architectural decisions to hands-on development.
• Define all aspects of the service, e.g., how the agent investigates and resolves incidents and how it learns and improves.
• Balance innovation with operational excellence and ensure scalability and security.
