Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer for AWS Resilience, Incident Prevention. You will own architecture for AI-powered resilience products, guiding engineers to build scalable systems that detect and remediate failure modes and reduce incidents across AWS.

You will lead design decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with teams to deliver intuitive resilience tooling and insights at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading design or architecture of scalable systems.
• 5+ years professional software development experience.
• 5+ years programming in at least one language.
• Experience as mentor or tech lead on engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable resilience products for AWS teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver intuitive resilience experiences.
• Lead projects across engineers and make high-judgment decisions.
• Own architecture for AI-native systems spanning agents and pipelines.
• Deliver developer tools that surface resilience context in workflows.
• Mentor engineers and raise software quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with partner teams to invent and simplify software.
