Job summary

Youth Empowerment Project is seeking an experienced Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising, communications, and external engagement. You will partner with the CEO, President, and Board to grow philanthropic support and advance YEP’s mission in the Greater New Orleans region.

You will oversee a development team, drive multi-channel fundraising campaigns, and cultivate major donor relationships while ensuring sustainable infrastructure for long-term impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of senior-level fundraising leadership with proven major gifts.
• Commitment to YEP’s mission and values.
• Ability to build high-performing teams and secure multi-million-dollar revenue.
• Experience aligning fundraising with board and executive leadership.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and expand YEP’s fundraising, communications, and external engagement strategy.
• Lead and develop the development team and donor relations program.
• Cultivate key donor and stakeholder relationships across multiple revenue streams.
• Collaborate with CEO, President, and Board of Directors to grow philanthropic support.
• Strengthen fundraising systems and processes to support long-term growth.
