Job summary

Youth Empowerment Project in New Orleans seeks a dynamic Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising, communications, and external engagement. The role partners with the CEO, President, and Board to grow philanthropic support and advance YEP's mission.

We seek an experienced fundraiser with strategic leadership, team-building, and a track record of multi-year, multi-stream revenue growth, including major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and events.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior-level leadership in fundraising, development, advancement, or nonprofit philanthropy with success leading fundraising strategies and building teams.
• Experience securing five- and six-figure gifts and managing major donor, corporate, foundation, and institutional relationships.
• Proven ability to develop and execute multi-year fundraising strategies across multiple revenue streams and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fundraising, communications, and external engagement strategy.
• Lead development team; cultivate donor and stakeholder relationships.
• Manage strategies across individual, corporate, foundation, government, and events revenue.
• Collaborate with CEO, President, and Board to grow philanthropic support.
• Strengthen systems and processes to sustain organizational growth.
