Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana seeks a Director of Development to lead all fundraising operations, strategy, and partnerships across its Baton Rouge region and affiliates. You will shape multi-year plans, cultivate donors, manage major gifts, and guide communications with stakeholders, boards, and the community.

In this role, you will collaborate with executive leadership to drive growth, ensure accountability for budgets, and enhance public presence through events and PR materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 3 years' experience in nonprofit fundraising or related field.
• Knowledge of fundraising techniques and funding sources for nonprofit organizations.
• Familiarity with Boys & Girls Clubs mission, policies and nonprofit principles.
• Ability to organize and coordinate fundraising operations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to executive leadership and Board for development activities.
• Develop and implement multi-year resource development plans and proposals for support from corporate, foundation, and individuals.
• Oversee events logistics, sponsorships, and related publications.
• Manage direct mail programs and donor communications.
• Evaluate development activities and identify opportunities to improve results.
• Identify, recruit and train board members to participate in fundraising efforts.
• Develop strategic alliances with community leaders and other youth-serving organizations.
• Increase visibility of fundraising activities through public relations efforts and marketing materials.
