Job summary

U.S. Global Leadership Coalition seeks a Deputy Director of Development to drive fundraising for the Campaign and collaborate on education funding initiatives at the Center.

Based in Washington, DC, you will lead membership fundraising, manage the Development Department, and partner with the Director on strategy and goals. You will oversee donor stewardship, cultivate corporate and NGO relationships, and expand seven-figure portfolios while ensuring timely renewals and strong donor engagement

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of nonprofit development leadership experience.
• CFRE designation preferred for the role.
• Proven track record managing seven- to eight-figure funding portfolios.
• Strong ability to build relationships with partners and donors.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead all membership fundraising for the advocacy arm and coordinate with education fundraising.
• Set strategy and revenue goals; manage development staff and operations.
• Cultivate corporate and NGO relationships; maximize donor engagement and renewals.
• Oversee fundraising materials, donor acknowledgments, and moves management.
• Provide thought partnership to the Director on department strategy and goals.
• Track revenue benchmarks and prepare periodic management reports.
• Lead key fundraising events and multi-year growth initiatives.
