Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Associate, Development to co-lead high-stakes fundraising efforts across regional and national portfolios. The role focuses on foundation, corporate, government, and individual giving, with close partnership to leadership on strategic planning and donor cultivation.

The position supports the Fund Development team in growing funds, coordinating with leadership and cross-functional partners, and mentoring Development

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in fundraising and grant writing with a proven track record of securing funds.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects across geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven experience partnering with executives, board members, or senior program directors on high-stakes funding opportunities.
• Ability to deliver presentations and strategic briefings to institutional funders and individual donors.

Responsabilités

• Draft, assemble, and submit responses to foundation, corporate, and government RFPs, concept papers, and LOIs.
• Coordinate the submission of grant reports for designated funders and donors.
• Research prospective funders and develop strategy memos to support funding priorities.
• Coordinate site visits with funders and draft briefing memos and follow-up correspondence.
• Partner with Program, Investment, Finance, and Grants teams to ensure timely deliverables and grant compliance.
• Track cultivation, solicitations, and milestones in Salesforce for assigned portfolios.
• Lead regional or national revenue opportunities and contribute to fundraising strategy and executive engagement.
• Prepare high-level memos and presentations for prospective grantmakers and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Development Associates and co-lead training sessions.
