Job summary

LINES Ballet in San Francisco seeks an Associate Director of Development to lead institutional giving and broaden support from foundations, corporations, and government funders. Working closely with the Director of Development, you will craft proposals, manage reports, plan stewardship events, and engage donors while aligning with the company’s mission to inspire and educate through dance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fundraising and grant-writing experience.
• Passionate about LINES Ballet’s mission.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to translate big ideas into compelling funder narratives.
• Detail-oriented with strong project management and deadline prioritization.
• Excellent relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in databases (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge), Excel, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Institutional Giving: identify funding partners and develop grant proposals and reports.
• Oversee fulfillment of institutional benefits and sponsor recognition.
• Lead stewardship events and reports showing funders' impact.
• Individual Donors: research prospects aligned with LINES’ mission.
• Manage two annual direct mail solicitations following SF Home Seasons.
• Collaborate on campaigns supporting education and community programs and artistic collaborations.
• Represent LINES in donor interactions; develop fundraising materials with Marketing.
• Plan and execute special events; attend performances during home seasons.
