Job summary

San Francisco Ballet seeks an Associate Managing Director of Institutional Philanthropy & Partnerships to lead a team responsible for more than $8M in contributed revenue within an overall $23M SF Ballet revenue goal and a $67M operating budget.

The ideal candidate blends philanthropic impact with business development, driving donor cultivation and strategic partnerships while guiding a multi-area fundraising strategy. Hybrid schedule requires in-office presence three days per week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of nonprofit philanthropy across foundation, corporate, and government relations.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Capital campaign experience preferred.
• Strong relationship cultivation, written communication, and budget management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Tessitura or comparable CRM; Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Strategic oversight of philanthropic resource development, stakeholder relationships, and technology strategy, across Institutional, Partnership, and Special Event Philanthropy.
• Lead a seven-person team and set annual revenue goals across institutional giving, events, and special initiatives.
• Guide donor relationships, stewardship, and reporting to the CRGO and Board committees.
