Job summary

San Francisco Ballet seeks an Associate Managing Director of Institutional Philanthropy + Partnerships to lead strategic fundraising across institutional giving, partnerships, and special events. The role reports to the Chief Revenue & Growth Officer and guides a seven-person team, balancing donor cultivation with revenue growth.

The position is full-time, hybrid (minimum 3 days in office), with a compensation range of $180,000–$195,000 plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive nonprofit philanthropy experience across foundations, corporate, and government relations.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Capital campaign experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Tessitura or comparable CRM; Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of philanthropic resource development across Institutional Giving, Partnerships, and Special Events.
• Lead volunteer constituencies and develop engagement strategies; supervise teams.
• Set annual revenue goals and manage budgets with regular reporting to the CRGO.
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies for capital projects, tours, and donor programs.
• Build and expand institutional donor engagement and foundations/government giving efforts.
• Lead corporate and brand partnership strategy to generate revenue and raise profile.
