Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a CNC machinist.
• Experience programming and operating CAM software (NX, Mastercam).
• Experience machining on manual equipment (knee mill, manual lathe, drill press).
• Knowledge of feeds and speeds; ability to read drawings and GD&T.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and work in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Interpret dimensioned part drawings; select tools, workholding, and inspection equipment.
• Program and operate CNC machines, including NX CAM programming, feeds and speeds, tool setup, and proofing.
• Operate manual metal-cutting machines as needed.
• Inspect finished or in-process parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; coordinate with QC.
• Communicate with shop, QC, and engineering for a transparent workflow.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve shop effectiveness.
