Job summary

Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a Senior Developer & DBE to join a federal modernization effort. The role is remote within CONUS, requiring a Public Trust Moderate clearance.

You will own database architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive AI-enabled, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate brings hands-on development and database engineering expertise in Azure SQL/NoSQL, CI/CD, and security practices, with strong communication

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years overall IT/software development experience.
• 5+ years hands-on application development.
• 3+ years database engineering/architecture.
• 3+ years cloud-based development (Azure preferred).
• 2+ years Agile/Scrum development.
• 2+ years CI/CD pipeline integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications using modern frameworks and languages.
• Architect, build, and maintain relational and non-relational databases to support performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with Solution Architect, DevOps, and Data Scientists to align solutions.
• Design data models, schemas, stored procedures, and migration strategies.
• Monitor and tune database performance for speed, availability, and scalability.
• Implement data security, encryption, access control, and compliance with federal requirements.
• Support CI/CD integration of database changes with Azure DevOps.
• Work with AI/ML teams to ensure data pipelines meet model requirements.
• Participate in code and database design reviews.
• Document database designs, data flows, and application code.
• Actively contribute to sprint planning and agile ceremonies.
