Job summary

Koniag Services, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Microsoft DevOps Engineer to support Azure cloud platform engineering for government customers.

This remote role requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and will work with stakeholders across cybersecurity, operations, and product teams to deliver compliant, scalable platform capabilities. The engineer will develop, configure, test, document, and support platform capabilities, focusing on automation, observability, and AI-enabled

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline.
4+ years of hands-on platform development or integration experience, preferably in government environments.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure implementation, configuration, development, integration, testing, or operations.
Experience with Agile delivery and translating stakeholder needs into outcomes.
Experience with federal government IT environments, Public Trust programs, or regulated delivery.
Experience with Section 508, cybersecurity, auditability, data protection, and operational documentation.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, develop, integrate, test, document, and sustain Azure capabilities using Azure DevOps, AKS, Bicep, and related tools.
Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, container operations, monitoring, and secure deployment automation.
Translate business and security requirements into practical technical solutions.
Support platform architecture, backlog refinement, release readiness, and production transition activities.
Develop reusable patterns, standards, automation, and runbooks.
Troubleshoot complex issues across platform configuration, data, APIs, identity, security, and performance.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, privacy, data, infrastructure, QA, and change management teams.
Maintain clear technical documentation and design decisions.
