Job summary

NCDOT-Transportation seeks a Desktop Support Specialist to support the Raleigh area from Century Center. This role requires onsite presence and travel as needed to Garner and statewide locations, with in-person interviews as part of the process.

Responsibilities include handling high volumes of service desk tickets, providing technical support, and coordinating with Data Center Operations, application teams, and network teams to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing IT security policies.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow call tracking system.
• Willing to travel for the role.
• 7+ years of desktop/field support experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate IT incident and problem service desk tickets and prioritize based on business impact.
• Mentor others to ensure client satisfaction and organizational success.
• Install and image computers, load software, deploy business apps, and configure printers and peripherals.
• Document processes and procedures for technical field support activities.
• Work with Data Center Operations and application/network teams to identify issues and provide detailed technical information.
