Job summary

NC State University is seeking an OIT Managed Desktop Support Analyst to maintain and troubleshoot desktop workstations and peripherals in the OITMD ecosystem. The role requires strong customer service, broad IT knowledge, and ability to work on-site and remotely with campus users.

The incumbent will participate in applications, OS, and network support, using tools like SCCM and Jamf Pro, while contributing to enterprise upgrades and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of IT experience related to the area of assignment.
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and 3 years of IT experience related to the area of assignment.
• High School Equivalency and 6 years of IT experience related to the area of assignment.
• Knowledge of IT security measures and campus security requirements.
• Experience with Windows/Mac workstation environments and ITSM tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide OS, driver, and application configuration and troubleshooting for workstations and peripherals.
• Resolve workstation problems on-site or remotely with strong customer service.
• Support hardware, operating systems, and networking; assist with system integration and networking tasks.
• Communicate progress to users and colleagues; mentor others in client satisfaction.
