K&L Gates in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Desktop Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team. You will own escalated incidents, provide advanced troubleshooting, and deliver high-quality client service to end users across the office network.

The role requires strong communication, independent work, and teamwork within a fast-paced legal environment. Travel to remote offices may be required to resolve issues and install hardware or software as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with IT work experience (3+ years).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for end users and staff.
• Familiarity with IT services in a professional services environment.
• Experience in a technical support role supporting distributed clients.

Responsibilities

• Own escalated tickets involving complex issues and coordinate with IT groups.
• Engage customers locally and remotely to resolve issues promptly.
• Install and troubleshoot software as needed to meet firm needs.
• Communicate effectively with end users and IT staff to resolve problems quickly.
• Track and report recurring issues; assist in new hire orientation.
• Provide support to multiple offices, including travel as required.
