Job summary
NC State University is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide end‑user workstation and peripheral support within the OIT Managed Desktop Service. The role involves on‑site and remote troubleshooting, hardware/software configuration, and strong customer service.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 year IT experience OR Associate’s with 3 years OR HS equivalency with 6 years IT experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
- Experience with Windows/macOS endpoint management is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Uses SCCM, Jamf Pro, and other tools to manage computing systems.
- Images endpoints and deploys applications; troubleshoots non‑routine problems.
- Provides progress updates to the Service Desk and other staff.
- Builds test computing environments for enterprise system upgrades.
