Job summary

Apollo Solutions, a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer to join the infrastructure team. This hands-on role focuses on modernizing the end-user technology environment, including endpoint management, VDI, automation, and identity using Microsoft technologies.

You will own technical projects, build PowerShell automation, and collaborate with security, infrastructure, and support teams to enhance device provisioning, deployment, patching, and endpoint security.

Qualifications

• - Hands on experience in desktop, endpoint or end-user computing.
• - Experience with Microsoft Intune.
• - Knowledge of Entra ID and Microsoft identity technologies.
• - Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• - Experience with VDI or virtual desktop technologies.
• - Experience with VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop or similar.
• - Exposure to Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.
• - Understanding of Windows endpoint management, deployment, patching, security.
• - Experience in large or technically complex environments.
• - Strong troubleshooting and ownership of problems.

Responsibilities

• - Engineer and improve Windows desktop and endpoint environment.
• - Manage devices and policies via Microsoft Intune.
• - Work with Entra ID for identity and device management.
• - Support and develop the firm's VDI environment.
• - Build PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.
• - Improve provisioning, deployment, patching and lifecycle management.
• - Work with Azure and cloud tech supporting end users.
• - Troubleshoot issues across Windows, identity, VDI and endpoints.
• - Collaborate with infrastructure, security and support teams.
• - Enhance endpoint security, compliance and information protection.
• - Contribute to future desktop/workplace projects.
