Job summary

Perkins&Will Kansas City, MO Studio is seeking a Designer III with 5-8+ years of experience to join a collaborative design team. Strong project architect skills, experience with highly technical projects, and interest in regenerative design and sustainability are encouraged.

The role emphasizes design leadership, coordination with consultants, and growth opportunities within a dynamic studio environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field required.
LEED GA within 6 months of hire.
5-8+ years of experience in architecture.
Professional accreditation in Living Design areas (LEED AP, WELL AP, etc.).
Are/AXP involvement anticipated within 6 months; preparing for ARE.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of project complexity and contributes to team success.
Develops creative design ideas within the design team.
Coordinates drawings for Schematic Design through Construction Documents.
Assesses material selections and product research.
Crafts client and non-client design presentations; prepares materials.
Manages tasks within schedule and budget; ensures accuracy and compliance.
Supports growth of others and fosters proactive communication.
Participates in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
Coordinates with partners and consultants.
