Job summary

Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Designer (Civil) in the Flanders, NJ area. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and 3+ years of experience, with a PE License track preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is advantageous. Salary ranges from $36–$40/hr, with hybrid work discussions after 90 days. Candidates will plan and coordinate detailed engineering tasks, interact with clients and officials, and support project managers.

Title: Senior Designer (Civil)
Reports to: Engineer or Project Manager
Location: Flanders, NJ
Salary Range:$36 – $40/hr, based on experience and qualifications

Brief Description:

Under some direction, routinely plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work, completes portions of project documents, assists Engineers and/or Department Manager with delegation of tasks, interacts with Clients and officials for project tasks, and does other related duties as required. Is knowledgeable of state and local regulations. Must have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods.

Schedule:

Candidate can expect to work approximately 100% of their week in the Flanders, NJ office (hybrid arrangements will be reviewed following 90 days of employment). Company hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm.

This position generally works standard business hours, Monday through Friday. However, occasional site visits, field work, client meetings, or business-related events may be scheduled outside of normal working hours. Flexibility in schedule is required to meet business and client needs.

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• PE License track preferred.
