Job summary

Superhuman Labs, Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Technologist to lead AI prototyping and internal tooling within the Design Foundations team. You will collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Design to integrate AI into design workflows, ensuring scalable, high-quality results.

You will develop AI-assisted tooling, prototypes, and frameworks, shaping our approach to AI-native design and maintaining design system integrity across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years across creative technology, design engineering, interaction design, or advanced prototyping.
• Experience building interactive experiences powered by LLMs (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini APIs).
• Worked closely with Design Systems and Accessibility teams.
• Fluent in Figma advanced capabilities: Variables, Advanced Prototyping, Plugins API, REST API.
• Comfort with Claude Code, Framer, Cursor for rapid prototyping.
• Understand AI API integration: streaming, prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool use.
• Experience building structured prompts, automation frameworks, or code-generation recipes.
• Deep understanding of design tokens, theming systems, and component architecture.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design.

Responsibilities

• Build high-fidelity, interactive prototypes for AI-driven ideas used in research and decision-making.
• Develop AI API integrations and workflows that align with design tokens, components, and motion systems.
• Create surface templates and prompting frameworks to accelerate prototyping.
• Collaborate with Design System and Accessibility teams to scale tooling and workflows.
• Define how AI integrates into front-end workflows, including validation and CI checks.
• Introduce on-brand motion and micro-interactions to enhance clarity and delight.
• Develop reusable prototyping frameworks and internal tooling for faster exploration.
• Shape Superhuman's approach to AI-native design and scalable design systems.
