Job summary

At Atlassian, join a Design Technology team that builds foundational tools and AI-native product builder workflows powering Atlassian apps. You will lead projects across departments, delivering scalable design technology solutions and driving innovation in prototyping, motion, and AI-led workflows.

You will mentor designers and technologists, champion rapid prototyping, and collaborate with PM/Eng/Design peers to elevate end-to-end user experiences across Atlassian's product suite.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience leading a high-performing design or design technology craft domain.
• Experience building interactive and rich media experiences that showcase motion and high visual craft.
• Fluent with the latest AI product building workflows and fundamentals (agentic loops, generative UI/UX, evals, and context engineering).
• Strong skills in front-end engineering concepts, prototyping, AI tools, and integrations with visual design tools such as Figma.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality design technology solutions across multiple workstreams or domains.
• Champion rapid prototyping, user testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Mentor and guide less experienced designers and technologists.
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance design workflows through custom tooling and automation.
• Solve complex design technology issues, optimizing processes and leveraging AI/LLMs.
• Demonstrate advanced skills in JS frameworks, prototyping, and motion design.
• Lead the co-creation of sense-making artifacts (blueprints, models) to communicate design concepts.
• Drive adoption of best practices in design technology and contribute to continuous improvement.
