Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager - Design Quality to lead the Design Quality Assurance organization onsite in Richardson, TX or Sterling, VA. You will drive strategic quality initiatives, manage key projects, and mentor high-performing teams, operating under a SECRET clearance requirement.

The role requires a STEM degree with 7–10+ years of experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work across multiple sites while traveling up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years of experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
• Experience with design and development engineering, including systems and software engineering.
• Experience leading a team in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve quality targets.
• Quality Management: Direct organization-wide projects to enhance product quality and reduce COPQ and escapes.
• Data-Driven Insights: Oversee collection and analysis of quality data to develop long-term strategies.
• Process Improvement: Lead analyses to ensure compliance with standards and recommend improvements.
• Talent Development: Mentor team members and build a strong talent pipeline.
• Collaborative Partnerships: Build relationships with leaders to align quality initiatives with business goals.
