Job summary

Portland General Electric is seeking a Manager, Design Project Management to lead a team delivering electrical distribution and transmission designs for lines crews. The role requires steering engineering, inspection, construction and cost-control efforts while maintaining compliance with tariffs and safety standards.

You will partner with multiple departments to align on policies, budgets, and strategic plans, and you’ll engage with customers to ensure satisfaction and timely project

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, project management, design or related field.
• Prefer eight or more years in transmission and distribution design or related field; project management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and a history of safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Manages staff of design project managers, lighting design project managers, designers and/or design technicians.
• Oversees design project management, engineering, inspection, construction and cost-control activities.
• Develops and implements policies and strategic plans for pole management services with external partners.
• Manages customer expectations and relationships and tariff compliance; communicates with customers/stakeholders.
• Represents PGE with external constituencies and participates in industry groups.
• Ensures safety and adheres to standards while delivering projects on time and within budget.
