Job summary

Portland General Electric (PGE) seeks an experienced project manager to lead capital construction initiatives across transmission, distribution, substations, and grid modernization in Oregon. The role includes planning, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning with emphasis on safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The candidate will coordinate with internal teams, contractors, agencies, and community stakeholders, while guiding procurement, contracts, and PMO processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, project management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible project management or infrastructure delivery experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Senior level: eight or more years and cross-functional leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns safety, scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, compliance and customer commitments.
• Leads planning and execution from development through permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout.
• Partners with internal teams, contractors, agencies and stakeholders to align resources.
• Supports procurement and contract administration, including RFPs, bids, contracts, change management and invoicing.
• Mentors less-experienced project managers and helps strengthen PMO standards.
