Job summary

Portland General Electric (PGE) invites applications for a Senior Transmission & Distribution Standards Engineer in Portland, Oregon. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering; ABET-accredited program preferred.
• P2: typically two or more years in engineering; P3: five or more years or four with PE license.
• PE license strongly preferred; may be required based upon role.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of transmission and design standards, including overhead/underground distribution design, construction practices and materials.
• Provides technical guidance and support to other engineers or third-party contractors.
• Prepares a variety of moderately complex engineering deliverables; leads smaller project teams; updates standards.
• Prepares complex deliverables for larger projects; coordinates multiple discipline activity; supports complex standards development.
