Job summary

Capital One’s Retail Design team seeks a creative interior architectural designer to lead design management of special projects across cafe and branch portfolios. You will work with stakeholders to deliver results impacting Capital One’s physical spaces with hospitality-forward concepts.

The role emphasizes strong design, problem solving, and communication to drive large, multi-department initiatives while upholding project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Military experience.
• At least 2 years of in-house, client side architectural or design experience.
• At least 2 years of commercial retail design or architectural experience.
• At least 2 years of architectural project management experience.
• At least 2 years of experience selecting and sourcing architectural materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• NCIDQ or NCARB certification preferred.
• 4+ years experience in retail design/architectural for multi-unit retail/hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver special projects including new build cafes, renovations, ATMs and strategic initiatives.
• Plan, design, manage, and execute project plans with internal and external partners.
• Concept and deliver exterior and interior design using sketches and 3D visuals for leadership alignment.
• Develop design standard tools scalable across projects.
• Drive cross-functional projects with defined timelines and budgets.
