Job summary

Capital One’s Retail Design team is looking for a creative interior architectural designer to lead design management of special projects for the cafe and branch portfolio. You will shape the next generation of Capital One’s retail spaces, focusing on hospitality and retail presence in customer experiences.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to drive projects from feasibility through implementation, including new-build cafes, renovations, ATM initiatives, and scalable design elements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Military experience.
• At least 2 years of in-house, client side architectural or design experience.
• At least 2 years of commercial retail design or architectural experience.
• At least 2 years of architectural project management experience.
• At least 2 years of experience selecting and sourcing architectural materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver special projects including new build cafes, renovations, ATMs and other strategic initiatives to elevate Capital One’s existing and growing physical footprint.
• Plan, design, manage and execute project plans and drawings both in-house and in collaboration with external partners to ensure delivery.
• Concept and deliver exterior and interior design by using sketches, 3D visualization and presentations skills to align with leadership and provide guidance to supporting architects.
• Development of design standard tools and elements that can be scalable across new build and renovation projects.
• Drive cross-functional projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escape as needed;
• Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
• Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery.
• Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
• Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
