Job summary

Capital One’s Retail Design Team seeks a creative designer to lead end-to-end architectural design for cafes and branches, from concept through construction administration.

You will guide architects, adapt design standards to varied sites, and liaise with leadership to deliver high-quality spaces that reflect the Capital One brand and customer experience. A strong design portfolio and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Military experience.
• 5+ years of commercial retail design or architectural experience.
• 3+ years of architectural project management experience from concept to construction administration.
• 3+ years of experience selecting and sourcing architectural materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end architectural design and documentation for Capital One cafés and branches.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies; develop conceptual layouts.
• Guide external architects through due diligence, site visits, and code reviews.
• Lead exterior and interior design with sketches, 3D visualization, and presentations.
• Manage architects of record to ensure high-quality construction documents and design standard implementation.
• Supervise design execution during Construction Administration to maintain design intent.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to influence outcomes.
